How to add a category to a post? 

How to add default categories?

  1. While creating or editing a post, look for the category dropdown at the top right of that post’s editing screen.
  2. Select a category from the dropdown.
  3. Don’t forget to save your post to preserve the changes.

How to add custom categories?  startup and up

  1. While creating or editing a post, look for the category dropdown at the top right of that post’s editing screen.
  2. Select the Other option on the dropdown.
  3. Write the name of your new custom category. For example, here I’ve created a custom category called “videos”:
  4. Don’t forget to save your post to preserve the changes.
  5. From now on, you’ll see your new custom categories in the dropdown along the default categories. In this example you can see that my “videos” category (that I created in step 3) is an option in the dropdown now:

How to add multiple categories?  enterprise only

How to enable multiple categories?

  1. In your Beamer dashboard go to Settings > General (settings).
  2. Scroll to the Feed & Panel section.
  3. Look for the Enable multiple categories option and click on it. If the switch is green and to the right, the option is enabled (toggle_on).
  4. Save your setting changes.
  5. Enjoy! Now you will be able to add multiple categories to a post.

How to add multiple categories?

  1. Make sure you have enabled the multiple category option. If not, follow the steps explained in the previous section.
  2. While creating or editing a post, look for the category dropdown at the top right of that post’s editing screen.
  3. Click on Add category and pick any category you want to add and it will be included by clicking on the dropdown.
  4. You can remove a category by hovering over it and clicking on the X symbol.
  5. Don’t forget to save your post!
