Using the insights provided by Google Analytics you can apply them to improve your marketing campaigns, grow your audience, and optimize your product.

What Beamer events can you track with Google Analytics?
Beamer events
Once you have completed the setup, Beamer will start sending data to your Google Analytics account, you can use that data to follow your users’ activity. Beamer will track and send data on the following events:
- Each time a user visits your standalone page, Beamer will send the ‘pageview’ event.
- Each time a user clicks on a link or a post title on your feed (widget only), Beamer will send the ‘click’ event.
- Each time a user opens your feed (widget only), Beamer will send the ‘open’ event.
- Each time a user close your feed (widget only), Beamer will send the ‘close’ event.
- Each time a user visits a post in your feed (widget or standalone), Beamer will send the ‘view’ event.
You can look at the Beamer events you receive by:
- Sign in to your Analytics account.
- Click on Behaviour.
- Then select Events > Overview.
By tracking Beamer events you can follow your users’ behavior to make better and informed decisions. For example:
- You can understand what content is performing better. That way you can improve your Beamer updates accordingly. Better content means more engagement.
- You can measure traffic precisely and use Beamer’s schedule features to launch new content and updates at the times your audience is more active.
- You can compare that data with the country of origin, their operating system, browser, timezone, language, and all the information that can be measured by Google Analytics. That way you can segment your audience using Beamer’s segmentation features and target specific users with content you know they’ll love.
Google Analytics goals
By setting up goals you can use Google Analytics to track and measure specific kinds of interactions. For example, you can set goals to track URLs, time spent, page visits, and events.
As described in the previous section, Beamer will send events to your Google Analytics account when a user interacts in a particular way with your Beamer feed, widget, or standalone page. You can set goals to follow those events and focus your attention in your Beamer interactions to optimize the user experience.
To set and manage your goals you need to:
- Sign in to your Analytics account.
- Click on Admin at the bottom left of the screen.
- Select a property from the menu in the Property column.
- Click on the Goals option in the rightmost column.
